Some general updates at DIVIDE today. The site’s over a year old now; time flies.

DIVIDE won Amassment’s Shrine Spotlight last August; I could have sworn I had already put the award up, but I realized today that I never uploaded it. This is now fixed, and it’s up on the site page. My sincere apologies for taking so long to put it up.

I also updated the links page, and combed through the site for dead links. Overall the site is still in good condition, but feel free to drop me a line if you find anything missing or have any comments.

19 April 2015

sorted under defiers of fate .

Substantial update over at Defiers of Fate today. New article in the depth section discussing Type-0 (spoiler warning if you haven’t played it, it completely spoils the ending); update on the music page in the series section for FFXIII (I somehow missed that an album existed); and a revamp of the site section. The site section also includes a new page that discusses the upcoming sections of the site and what you can look forward to.

Future updates to Defiers of Fate will be slow. I really need to replay at least one of the games before I work on any of the content, but I’m not really motivated to do that at the moment. I’d like to get the pages for the series section done for FFXIII-2 by the end of the year (and hopefully LR too), but articles for the depth section are going to come slowly. In some vague future I will have a Lightning site to pair with this site, but I want to actually finish it before opening it, so. No time soon.

New fanlisting! This one’s for Seven from Final Fantasy Type-0. If you haven’t played it, don’t worry, the site is spoiler free. Honestly there’s not a whole lot to talk about with Seven—Type-0’s not great with character development—but she does have a couple moments late in the game that I don’t want to spoil.

I actually am planning on writing a spoiler-heavy article about Type-0 for Defiers of Fate in the near future; not sure quite yet when it’s going to go up, but hopefully soon. I’ve finished Type-0 twice now and I’m finding I have a lot of things to say about it.

sorted under ivalice, heartplace, winds of change .

The project that ate up the last few months of my life is finally done. Say hello to Winds of Change, my fansite for my favorite game of all time, Final Fantasy XII. I can say quite easily I’ve never put so much work into a site, but I’ve also never been as happy with the result. It’s a good feeling.

Features everything from a basic introduction to the game to very detailed gameplay info and indepth opinions on the plot and characters. Also, an enormous HD screencap gallery. It’s also the fanlisting for the game, adopted from the amazing Janice. It’s been two months and I’m still happily boggled by this fact.

ivalice.org also has a new layout, which I might tweak later but I like it for now.

8 March 2015

sorted under heartplace .

I’ve revamped and renamed my fanlisting collective, which is now known as Heartplace. Turns out the bad thing about picking a name based on a fandom is that when you lose interest in the fandom your desire to have a collective name based on it goes too. To be fair I did say something about not expecting the name to last when I picked it, and here we are two years later and poof…

Anyway, I’m happy with this name and hopefully it’ll be the permanent title. To celebrate there’s a bright, colorful layout.

7 March 2015

sorted under redcrown .

New layout at redcrown.net! The new design features one of my life-long fandoms, Sailor Moon. There’s a bunch of tl;dr about my history with Sailor Moon on the domain page.

This design gave me a headache and a half; while this was the original layout idea I had in mind, I couldn’t get it to work at first, and I ended up scrapping a bunch of other layouts in the process of making it. Thankfully it ended up working out in the end and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m always happy when I get to make a design with lots and lots of colors ♥

I have a couple of other designs I need to make (not the least of which is the one for FFXII site… somehow I have 20+ pages of content and still no layout ahaha) so let’s hope this will be a productive month for me.

15 February 2015

sorted under light of judgment .

Light of Judgment has a new layout. Originally I was going to wait until I revamped the site, but at this rate it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen for a while and I got inspired, so here we are. I’ve taken all of the written content offline on account of it being terrible, but the media’s still up (and I made a couple additions).

Currently I don’t expect the revamp to happen until Q3 2015 at the earliest, but 2016 is honestly more likely. I haven’t played FFVI in years and I really need to sit down and replay the whole game before I can start on revamping the content. If it happens sooner, great, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. In the meantime, at least it’s got a fresh coat of paint.

5 February 2015

sorted under anamnesis, fracture, bloodgulch, un día de victoria, vive memor leti .

bloodgulch.org has also closed. This includes the four fansites hosted there (Anamnesis, Fracture, vive memor leti, and Un Día de Victoria), the RvB fanlisting, the icon page, and the screencap gallery. I’ve likewise lost interest in Red vs Blue and have no desire to keep running an entire domain for the series. This was a more complicated decision, but it’s one I’m happy with.

Sites that did survive this closure are my three Halo fanlistings, which have relocated to halo.redcrown.net. A Halo series fansite is somewhere on my to-do list; I’m not sure when it’ll happen, but when it does it’ll be there.

The FFXII site is coming along nicely; I’ve got a lot of the content done and will hopefully be done with it sometime this month or next. In the meantime I may make some miscellaneous updates around the network.

23 January 2015

sorted under heartplace, rare candy .

New fanlisting! This one is for Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, along with the remakes, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Hoenn was my absolute favorite generation back in the day, and the remakes are amazing. If you never played R/S (or did and loved them), you should absolutely pick up OR/AS.

Rare Candy has been updated to reflect the new site. Quick note: while Rare Candy is a fansite collective, I made an exception for this; I have no intentions of turning this into a fansite. Not really sure what I’d talk about; I used to run a Pokémon fansite ten years ago but all of the content I had was 1) terrible and 2) stuff you can find on Bulbapedia/Serebii nowadays. Not really much point, as much as I love Hoenn. Also, I’m pretty sure no one needs a guide on how to catch Feebas in the original games at this point.

Anyway, my big project right now is a fansite for FFXII. It’s turning into a huge project, but I’m having a blast with it. Look for it soon.

13 January 2015

sorted under redcrown, soul dew .

New layout at redcrown.net by my Amassment Secret Santa, Robin. Thanks again! I’ve had like no ideas for a new layout for the main domain so it’s great to have a change, sob.

Made a couple changes to the Pokédex analysis on Soul Dew, and added three affiliates. Next up: probably another Pokémon site. Oops. Where did my motivation to work on other stuff go…
